Born in the Fall of 1994 in Austin, Texas, Sarah Riedel is currently a junior at Roland Park County School in Baltimore, Maryland. She is an honors student who is studying honors pre-calculus, US history, English, Russian III, and honors chemistry. She has achieved and maintained an honor roll status, and received the distinguished Heads Commendation for Physics and Russian. A third-year student in Russian, Sarah was the Silver Medalist in Russian Olympiad and National Russian Essay winner.
Athletically, Sarah is also a standout. She has a strong worth ethic as well as a strong determination for the sport. Over the many years she has been competing in gymnastics, she has won many titles, been invited to different gymnastics camps, and has been interviewed by many journalists and newscasters. Her achievements include: State vault champion 2007; State beam champion 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009; State floor champion 2009; 2nd place AA at States 2009; Regional beam champion 2009; 4th place AA at regionals 2009; 10th place beam at JO Eastern nationals 2009; 2nd place AA at capital cup 2010; 8 time state qualifier; regional qualifier 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010; Eastern National Qualifier 2008, 2009; attended the region 7 high performance clinic.
