ProfileSarah Riedel was born in the Fall of 1994 to Suzanne and George Riedel in Austin, Texas. She has two sisters, Megan (17) and Madison (10). During Sarah's free time she loves to dance, hang out with her friends, and paint.
Currently Sarah is a Junior at Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a very strong student and has been on the honor roll each semester during her High School years. She recently earned the distinguished "Heads Commendation" award for her work in honors physics and in Russian II. She participated in the Russian Olympiad and earned medals for fluency and her written essay, and has now entered Russian III.
As a level 9 gymnast in 2009, Sarah was the Maryland State Floor champion and placed 2nd AA at states. She was the Region 7 Beam champion, placing 4th AA earning a spot to compete at the Eastern Nationals where she placed 10th on beam, and was invited to the high performance clinic.
In 2010, Sarah moved up to level 10 and qualified to Maryland State championships and to Region 7 Championships. She is currently competing as a second-year level 10 gymnast and and is having a strong season. To date her high scores are: V-9.15, B-9.0, BB-9.35, FX-9.225. Sarah is training under coaches Karen Kalivoda, Dave Coffman, and Sheri Huppenthal at Rebounders Gymnastics. She would love to continue gymnastics at the collegiate level and pursue a degree in Engineering or Architecture.
